This DVD from the earlier days of director Chi Chi LaRue is available as part of the three disc special set, Chi Chi LaRue's Collection Vol. 1, which also includes Hologram and Body Search. This disc with Total Corruption 1 and 2 is the best of the collection, and Part 1 is probably one of the better flicks of that time period?the mid 90s. It got top ratings from reviewers at Gay VN and TLA. I would demur. It sizzles in spots, falls a little flat in others.

But back to Part 1. Total Corruption Part 1 is a very good gay porn feast for anyone into mature men (as opposed the more innocent, jejune types). As the title suggests, there are no innocents here. Everybody is a stud and a half and on the prowl to get or receive what?s coming to him. The cops, leather punks, forced sex theme has been done to death but only because it?s so appealing. And this is one of the better executions of that theme I have seen. Geez, an almost entirely gay police department. I didn?t think this happened even in San Francisco or Provincetown for crap sake. Rookie Greg Ross is apparently the only cop on the force who hasn?t heard the news. Ross is partnered with veteran Danny Russo and the pair stumbles across a familiar street hustler, Hank Hightower. Ross wants to run him in but Russo has other ideas. He directs Ross to stand lookout as he forces Hightower to go down on his cock This back alley scene is intense and darkly lit, just the sort of realistic-looking action you might hope to find in any of your local outdoor cruising spots, except of course that the likelihood of finding two studs like Russo and Hightower is about zip. Now Russo can always play the potty mouthed tough guy and he acts like he is born to the uniform here, putting Hightower through his paces. The extensive oral work is followed by Hank reaming out Russo?s hole. Then Russo does the deed with Hightower leaning up against a wall. It is all extremely rough and realistic and a beaut of a scene.

The flick is tied together by a letter Danny Ross is writing to a former lover describing his experiences since moving to the West Coast after they broke up. To set up scene 2, paragraph 2, he describes his failed attempts at seducing his next door neighbor, Damien, who he assumes just isn?t into him. That is, until he looks through the window and spies Damien with a sailor boy, the hunky Marco Rossi. It?s another excellent pairing with the highlight a splooge explosion by Damien that must cover three feet.

Ross is next paired, copwise, with Phil Bradley who turns out to be just as on the prowl as his first partner. They come across a college student, Scott Baldwin, who is jacking off in his car. Bradley offers to let Baldwin off in return for a servicing his dick. More rough cop sex ensues. But Officer Ross has had enough of this sexual harassment of civilians and decides to report the matter to their superior, Captain Spears.

As in Captain ZAK Spears. Bad move, as Zak is as gay-horny as the rest of the precinct. Spears really chews the scenery with this performance belittling Ross and questioning his sexuality. (The homophobic talk here (and elsewhere) is a bit much but it fits with the theme.) Captain Spears calls Officer Berger (Bradley) in to settle the matter and lo and behold, a three-way breaks out. All three guys are really into the scene and the only drawback is it is all oral. Ross decides afterward that he is not cut out to be a cop on this kind of police force (even though he seems to be fitting in just fine, it seems to me). And he goes home to reminisce about his long lost love, which sets up a flashback scene with seemingly straight friend, Wes Daniels (uncredited). The final scene is fairly flat with Daniels feigning ?straightness? and Ross basically fucking a sleeping stiff. Might as well have been a corpse.

What comes after cops and arrest? Why jail of course. Total Corruption Part 2 is billed as a sequel but it?s really just a follow-on under the same title umbrella?different cast, different premise; the only holdovers are Hank Hightower in a completely different role and of course our director Ms. LaRue. Friends of Chi Chi are scattered throughout, with the script and production assistance of Gender, Jordan Young in the second scene and Tom Katt, one of LaRue?s faves of that period in a prominent scene as well.

Scott Randsome topping Karl Bruno open things up in a woodsy scene in which the smaller Randsome plays all top to tattooed Bruno?s bottom boy. Both are so perfectly bronzed, muscled and coiffed you?d almost think this was a Falcon production. The scene closes with a hard ass pounding up against a tree and two hefty money shots. Vice officers Tom Katt and Blade Thompson then show up and try to arrest the two but Karl Bruno manages to escape.

Thompson then goes looking for other prey in the park bathroom and nabs Jordan Young.in a glory hole situation. In exchange for not arresting him, Blade opts to fuck Young up against the washstand. Meanwhile Randsome has been thrown into the pokey with three other studs and a jailhouse orgy erupts. There is a final climactic scene between muscle gods Randsome and Katt that should have been sizzling but it seemed to have very little no chemistry. Overall, this one had some great eye candy but was a lot less scintillating than Part 1.

It?s hard to find fault with the production values, however, in either of these flicks. The filming is excellent; the cop outdoor scenes have a great look about them. There are the usual extras, scene selection, photos, etc., but nothing out of the ordinary. As a pair this is a terrific quantity of gay porn for the buck even if it misses at times on the quality.
